£5,000 for a four-week programme

BPP University Dental Summer School brings together the practical skills and knowledge that you need to maximise your future prospects as a dental professional. Our unique teaching approach provides you with practice-focused experience that has an emphasis on patient-centred care. What's more, they are delivered by practitioner-tutors, as part of an engaging and interactive learning experience.

BPP University Dental Summer School is an exclusive opportunity to take that next step in your career. You will be able to sample our seminars, workshops and observe our specialist clinical sessions to acquire valuable key skills and knowledge of dentistry practice in the United Kingdom. Our Dental Summer School is a four week programme that will provide you with experience of a wide range specialisms to help inform your chosen career path and help your CV stand out. The programme will cover topics such as:

  • Medical ethics
  • Professionalism and aspects of patient management in the dental practice
  • Consent, clincal practice regulations and the role of the General Dental Council
  • Preventative oral medicine
  • Advances in Dentistry in the 21st century

 

You will also:

  • Gain insight into different career options within dentistry
  • Observe 1:1 clinical sessions in Periodontology, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Implant Dentistry
  • Have the opportunity to test your skills in BPP University's role play simulation scenarios
  • Enhance your employability skills with BPP University's Dental Institute career team and international guest speakers
  • Network with like-minded students from around the world
  • Alongside your studies, you will be able to experience the diversity of British culture and see the incredible city of Birmingham first hand

 

All attendees of the Dental Summer School will receive a CPD Certificate of Attendance detailing the learning outcomes and the number of variable CPD hours (103 hours in total). Students wishing to apply for admission to the Dental Summer School programme must be students studying, or have recently studied at a non-UK Dental School who are:
* A current undergraduate dental student in years 3 to 5 or;
* A current or recent dental graduate or;
* A current or recent postgraduate student

Students must demonstrate an appropriate level of English in order to access and benefit from the programme as assessed by telephone or Skype interview. Students do not have to undertake a specific English test to gain entry onto the programme however students should be able to demonstrate a professional level of English equivalent to an IELTS score of 5.0. If there are any concerns applicants can arrange to take a free BPP University English test. All applicants will undergo a telephone interview.
